The New York Blade releases its "Best of Gay New York 2005," immediately touching off street riots and looting among all the Sapphic sisters who think that the "Best Lesbian Bar" should probably be, you know, an actual lesbian bar.
Blade staff and readers, in fact, disagreed on 14 of 17 categories (with one category, "Best Festival," inexplicably not listing any reader pick).
Among the areas of disagreement: The staff list drove yet another nail into the coffin known as Chelsea, formally anointing Hell's Kitchen as the new hottest neighborhood.

I used to live just a few blocks away from TB. Believe it or not, it was once a quite nice UES video bar. Before it moved a few doors down and its target clientele moved a few neighborhoods up.

Oh, it's still a "video" bar. ;-)
