I have updated my "Brokeback Will Bomb" post below with new information and a link to the movie's limited-release weekend grosses, which have been nothing short of amazing. (Yes, I am eating at least the wing of a crow and hoping for the whole bird.)
UPDATING THE UPDATE: John at the Stonewall Dems' Trailmix blog points out that the world of the "Family" Research Council is one in which there is no room for hits in both Brokeback and Narnia.

Jeez.. I've seen your site recommended by several other blogs and all I see here is stupidity. Not really sure what to make of you at all..
Who gives a shit if Brokeback bombs on a commercial level? It's about the story, the film and the inclusion of it into our cultural vocabulary. Can't we just be happy, grateful for that?

Personally, I'm a little surprised by the results. I never realised that so many folks would prefer to read polarized political opinion rather than the voice of sensible moderation. (That was a back-handed compliment by the way.) Still, at least not much went to those blogs that concentrate only on Desperate Housewives gossip.
