One More Surgery, and the Lip Plate Is Free

"New York City's Most Famous Transsexual," Amanda Lepore, is trying to cash in on the success of the Oscar-nominated movie "Transamerica."
She showed up on "The Insider" yesterday for no discernible reason other than to be Amanda Lepore, and to talk about the panoply of surgeries that got her there.
The list was so long that "Entertainment Tonight" announced its spin-off, "The Insider," would itself be spun off into a show to handle the formidable task.
Perhaps the most shocking revelation was that the next surgical procedure for Lepore, her lips already resembling two roller-brushed slabs of calves' liver, would involve skin-darkening and the implantation of a labial disk so that she would live among the Mursi tribeswomen of Ethiopia.
(OK, I made up most of this post.)

There seems to be a recurrent anti-trannie theme on this site, which perhaps balances the pro-trannie take on mine (but not really as your traffic I would think dwarves mine). But really kids, were you traumatized when your trannie nannies pinched your fannies?

What, her lips don't look like slabs of calves' liver?

Manhattan Offender:
Elizabeth Ardem! I'm not transgenderphobic; but did Amanda internalise the trauma when some wicked bitch put her Barbie in the microwave? There's a difference between "bee stung" and they just cut off my lips and replaced them with my arse cheeks. It just don't ring my bell, baby.

Now, now. Mocking Amanda Lepore isn't anti-trannie. It's just good old-fashioned common sense.
I've openly admitted trannie things leave me completely mystified. It's just one of those things. It's like my parents and racism. You can try and try and try to explain it to them, but they just kinda stare at you dully.

You can see Amanda for a comparison of how she looked in 1990 which is drastic, in this video from a Joan Rivers Show.

And the closest thing you will see her with out makeup is on the stunt she did with MAC cosmetics by David La Chapelle.

I don't know...I remember Amanda Lepore from the early 90s, and she looked about as good as you could expect a white trannie to look in person. (Asians & Pacific Islanders who start the process young--they are the ones who really end up being stunningly beautiful by any standard.) I remember Amanda as being really impressive and making drunk bridge and tunnel guys gawk in amazement. A decade later...maybe Amanda's gone a little overboard, but then, so do a lot of aging women who strive for that particular beauty ideal. Like Joan Rivers.

OK. That shit was just funny.

What's worse, big lips or mean spiritedness. Who is Amanda hurting by looking the way she wants to. While I admit what she is doing with her surgury is extreme I see know reason for you to get your tits in a twist over it. Save your anger for the Republicans. Amanda's not trying to convert anyone.

We have the power to change our attitudes, thinking, and perceptions. Positive thinking does not mean that we cover up other difficult emotions but that we acknowledge them and choose to put our attention elsewhere. Laughter itself can stimulate our body to release endorphins and dopamine. These natural substances support feelings of pleasure and wellness, and they can also help relieve pain. However, laughter is "healing" only when it includes others and is not meant to cause harm- in other words, when it...
