From the Malcontent's outsourced "Journalism By Press Release" suboffice in Bangalore, India, comes a couple of casting calls:
First, the Starz TV network is searching for contestants to compete in something of a cinematic version of "American Idol."
The new series, "Looking for Stars," will give one lucky winner a speaking role in an upcoming film by Revolution Studios. (I wonder what the line is? "This time it's personal"?) An application and complete audition schedule is available at the link. New York City auditions will be March 17 and 18, so may the Luck o' the Irish be with you!
And finally, OhLaLaParis.com, in association with "famous French photographer François Rousseau," is holding a casting call for Rousseau's next project. Details can be found at the link, but the main criterion would seem to be that you must be really, really hot.
I sincerely doubt The Malcontent would qualify for either of these – not unless the Revolution Studios movie is a biopic of novelty entertainer and star of "Scrooged," Buster Poindexter.
But if you are the lucky winner, do give us a shout out on Oscar night.
