One of the improvements to MalcoVision that I alluded to earlier today was that I finally subscribed to the Q Television Network, one of a small but growing cadre of gay-oriented channels.
So imagine my disappointment when the first thing I recorded with an eye to possibly posting was their "Holiday Blooper" special.
It opened with a parody of "Little House on the Prairie" that was so terrible, it was hilarious. And that was actually the highlight of the show. (Note the herky-jerky, VHS-quality video: That wasn't me, folks, it was them.)
Remember, I actually paid for this dreck, in the interest of broader dissemination of gay culture and media.
A few questions: What exactly does "Little Queers on the Prairie" have to do with the holidays?
What self-respecting queer would proudly advertise himself as being "little"?
And how many VHS tapes does my $8 a month buy, anyway?

(I watched it, so I might as well make you.)
Okay Mal,
First: You paid for that. Mull that over for a bit. :-)
Second: Was Laura played by Tyler Roebuck, the guy who from "Open Bar" on Logo?

Sheesh....Robbie, would you mind raising the camp alert to whatever color comes after orange?

Magenta? Ochre? Chartreuse? Vermilion??

I'd say this calls for a full-fledged salmon alert.

Donny Osmond says . . . Alert Level Pink!
Oh dear. This is bad. Very, very bad.

Oh. my. horrible.
And yes, I think that is Tyler from "Open Bar."

Matt-
Thank you so much for using "allude" instead of "reference" This site is a haven of grammatical and political good sense.

Thanks, Evan. In journalism school, I was known as a "walking AP Stylebook." It's hard to admit that my real strength lies probably not in writing, but in editing. Truth is, I die a little inside every time someone points out one of my spelling or grammar errors (unless I "break a rule" intentionally for effect), but I always appreciate it when they do.
