George Bush sure has been taking a drubbing lately, and no one has drubbed quite as mightily as the "journalists" from Reuterville. So now that Bush's poll numbers have tanked, does that mean Reuters is going softer on him now?

Perhaps they are making up for this:
Or other past media sins like this from USA Today:
Or this from "NBC Nightly News":
Although I suppose that last one could have just been NBC's secret shout-out to tennis fans.
Talk about grabbing at straws. :)

Surprised no one was watching the stills from NBC Nightly News, since they are so sensitive about other things; Tom [Tom Who?] Brokaw was one of the first news personalities to start pronouncing "harassment" in the British fashion ('harris-ment'), just so we would be spared hearing only the first two syllables (and therefore presumably mentally linking them to a Bill Clinton conquest).

Yeah, and it kind of took the punchline out of the joke about whether Ted Kennedy knows that "harass is one word."
Then again, Brokaw swallows every third consonant, so I could never understand him.
